"A penny saved is a penny earned.”

This age-old adage rings true especially today in these economically difficult times. And GBA knows the significance of saving valuable resources. When as little as $100 can change a life forever, it pays to invest your donated dollars and cents into the lives of developing world entrepreneurs.

This month GBA would like to ask you to help our organization save a valuable resource – your contributions. As the work of GBA receives broader exposure, many new donors and interested individuals have been added to the organizational mailing list.

In fact, in the last few years alone, the number of people receiving GBA mailings more than doubled. And, as a result, the dollars required to both print and mail materials to this ever-increasing group of interested partners have risen dramatically. While growth is a “good problem”, we believe there is always room to improve the way we steward your valued donations.

One way we do this is by making sure only interested individuals and groups are added to our organizational mailings. In order to receive updates from GBA, one must either contribute to the organization financially or specifically request to be added to the mailing list. This helps us mail to only those who are genuinely interested in our work.

Still, as our mailing list grows, we would like to take advantage of available technology to help us bring about an even greater cost savings to the organization. This also would provide many of you with an even more convenient way to receive GBA updates. Beginning this month, GBA will be offering our Snapshot newsletter in this e-newsletter form.

I would like to request your participation this month in this cost-saving endeavor by asking you to do one of two things for GBA.

First, let us know exactly how you would like to receive the GBA Snapshot newsletter in the future. You may choose from one of several options by following this link:
  • Via USPS mail only
  • Via email only
  • Via both USPS and email
  • Or, you can opt out of receiving the Snapshot Newsletter.
Without your response, we will assume you would like to continue to receive our mailings via the US postal system. Of course, you can visit the website any time to manage your communication from GBA.

Finally, I'd like to remind you that you can also make a secure one-time gift or set up a periodic payment of your choice from either your checking account or credit card. Simply follow this link to go to use the online payment service.

Thank you in advance for helping us maximize your donated dollars as we seek to expand micro-power to the less fortunate in this world. A penny saved will go a long way in the developing world!
