As a Member at Clark Hill PLC, Danny Cerrone Jr. represents clients in construction and commercial matters. Danny regularly assists clients in the drafting and reviewing of contracts and represents clients in a variety of disputes involving construction law and commercial litigation. In the construction arena, Danny represents clients across a range of disputes involving public and private construction projects. Danny works closely with clients throughout every phase of the construction process, from negotiating contracts to obtaining final completion. Danny routinely assists clients with payment disputes, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics’ lien claims and defenses, delay, acceleration and inefficiency claims, change order disputes, claims for differing site conditions, One Call Act claims, and prompt payment statute issues. Danny also represents individuals and companies in a wide variety of commercial matters – both in and out of the courtroom. To prevent or avoid costly legal disputes, Danny helps clients by drafting and negotiating contracts and other agreements. When disagreements necessitate formal legal action, however, Danny assists clients in state and federal courts, in arbitration hearings, and before administrative tribunals and regulatory agencies.
Danny is a graduate of Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Since 2019, Danny has been selected as Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, Rising Star. From 2019 through 2021, Danny has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America.
As the Solicitor of PACT, Danny came to understand the importance of district energy and the important role that GBA could have in the community. As a GBA Board Member, Danny’s hope is to help make an impact in the community through his experience in the construction and legal industry and work on other boards. In addition to his GBA Board membership, Danny also serves as Secretary, Board of Directors for ACE Mentor Program of Western Pennsylvania and President, Primavera Lodge, for the Order of Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
Danny joined GBA’s board in 2021. He is married to Shannon, and they have two children – Amelia and Miles. Fun fact about Danny: His family has taken a trip to Disney World every year since 2013 (except in 2020, where trips to the grocery store were the most they did!).
Majestic Lane serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Equity Officer for Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto. In his role, Majestic leads the Peduto administration’s focus on opportunity for all residents of the City of Pittsburgh concerning education, workforce development, safe and healthy communities, and inclusion. Additionally, he leads the administration’s engagement with national organizations regarding equity and inclusion strategies.
Prior to his current role, Majestic served as Deputy Chief of Neighborhood Empowerment where he coordinated Mayor Peduto’s administration’s neighborhood equity efforts through community-driven development and affordable housing initiatives. His background also includes Director of External Relations and Member Engagement for Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group, Director of Community Engagement and Strategy for A+ Schools, and Co-Founder of Juice Up 412.
Majestic attended the University of Pittsburgh and lives in North Point Breeze, PA. He joined GBA’s board in 2021. Fun fact about Majestic: He was a radio show host as a teenager.
Don Morrison is a serial entrepreneur and visionary leader who has consistently leveraged technology to improve the customer experience and top and bottom-line results in the consumer product space. Don has been involved in the growth and development of several businesses, including taking American Eagle Outfitters from one to 165 stores as President and CEO, Sundance Catalog Company as Executive Director, and Bear Creek Corporation as Senior VP of Sales and Marketing.
Since 2012, Don has served as Chairman of Deal Flow for BlueTree Allied Angels, a Pittsburgh-based angel investment organization. He also serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Pittsburgh’s Innovation Institute.
Don is actively involved in mentoring and coaching startup and early-stage companies in the region. In addition to serving as a board member for Green Building Alliance, Don was the previous Chairman of The Linden Pointe Development Corporation, which operates The eCenter @ Linden Pointe incubator and The Entrepreneurship Academy program for area high school students.
Don holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He has always been interested in sustainability and enjoys being a part of GBA, because it is an organization that affects positive change.
Don joined GBA’s board in 2021. A couple of fun facts about Don: He is currently writing two books – one about the experience of growing American Eagle while creating the AEO brand and the other about his father’s WWI experiences as a hump pilot. In high school, Don performed in and managed a rock ‘n roll band. Don has been married for over 50 years to his high school sweetheart.
Michael Walsh
Michael (Mike) Walsh is the Deputy Secretary for Administration at the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). A strong advocate for sustainability and LEED Green Associate, Mike was honored to join the GBA Board in December 2019 and has partnered with GBA on various initiatives for more than a decade.
Mike joined DCNR in June 2015, and his experience includes over two decades working in both the legislative and executive branches of state government and serving in appointed positions under three governors. In his current role, Mike is responsible for the human resources, budget, and information technology operations of the agency.
Mike co-chairs the DCNR Sustainability Initiative, helping Pennsylvania’s conservation agency lead by example with innovative investments in renewable energy, EV and PHEV fleet vehicles, and statewide energy savings projects. His focus on protecting our natural resources spans his career.
During his five years as Deputy Secretary at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Mike created the “Pathways to Green Schools” program that helped coordinate and promote energy efficiency, environmental education, and health and wellness programs in public and private schools. Pennsylvania received national recognition by the U.S. Department of Education for these efforts.
As Director of Policy for Senator Allen Kukovich, Mike focused on land-use planning and urban revitalization issues and helped to launch the Smart Growth Partnership of Westmoreland County. He received the first Founders Award from the organization in 2003.
Mike is a graduate of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe and received a Master of Public Management degree from the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University.
Mike joined GBA’s board in 2020. He is married to Hillary and lives in Harrisburg with a new puppy. Fun fact about Mike: He hikes the Appalachian Trail in his free time, and you can follow his blog here: http://460000steps.blogspot.com.
Darla Cravotta is the Director of Community Relations and Special Projects for Allegheny County. She has been serving Pittsburgh, PA’s county and County Executive since 2006 engaging in policy and programs with water and sewer issues, parks and trails, and public art. Darla previously served as Manager of Community Outreach at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Community Planner of National Parks Service, and Neighborhood Policy for the City of Pittsburgh, Office of the Mayor.
