Welcome Isaac Smith!

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of Angelica Ciranni, GBA’s longest tenured 2030 District Director. Under her leadership, the Pittsburgh 2030 District set national standards for performance, fueled by a dedicated network of partners across Western Pennsylvania.
Angelica has left an indelible mark on GBA, but we are equally excited as she joins our robust community of sustainability advocates. GBA’s impact can only deepen as we build ever stronger collaborations.
In this time of growth and change, we are thrilled to announce that GBA’s longtime Data & Performance Director Isaac Smith will lead the Pittsburgh 2030 District into its next chapter. Isaac developed the District’s very first reporting protocol, drafting the initial growth strategy while mapping expansion into Oakland, Uptown, and the Northside. More than six years later, he now benchmarks over 500 buildings regionwide, and has developed a performance tracking platform that has been adopted by cities across the country. Isaac has cultivated dedicated partnerships with Pittsburgh’s leading decisionmakers and will continue to grow the District’s vast network of support.
From all of us at GBA, thank you to our past and future collaborators. We have an incredible team to carry our mission forward and will work every day to ensure that every person can thrive.
