Stop 11: Fairmont Hotel
510 Market Street, Pittsburgh, PA, 15222
Located in the center of the Downtown flow, the luxury Fairmont Hotel attracts many out-of-towners for its beautiful design, and locals for its event spaces and restaurant. The Fairmont Hotel is Pittsburgh's first LEED Gold hotel. The operators aim to reduce consumption by stocking reusable glass water bottles in guests’ rooms rather than single-use plastic. On display are dozens of 19th century artifacts uncovered during the building’s renovation, now serving as sustainable art ranging from ornate bottles to paintings.
