School buildings are among the most important properties as our most precious building users– young children – spend 10,000 hours per year in these spaces.
Because school buildings have limited resources and often struggle with leaky buildings and poor indoor air quality – and because where our children learn is critical to their social determinants of health and learning outcomes – we must prioritize healthy and efficient design, construction, and building operations.
Green Building Alliance works with a variety of K-12 stakeholders to ensure that our region’s school buildings are healthy, sustainable, and inspiring places to learn.
